The first step is always to conduct a thorough review of the property. We assess its condition, current uses, neighbourhood life and legal context, financial health and prospects, and consult with church leaders and community members.
Then, we create a Vital Signs Report.
This Report provides an evaluation of the property and how it can be the secure foundation for the community of faith.
Based on the Vital Signs Report, we then develop recommendations and a property strategy — the Vitality Plan.
The Vitality Plan maps out options for a congregation’s unique property. It includes rental and/or community collaboration opportunities, property assessment for amalgamation or collaborative ministry, and where suitable, development or environmental sustainability strategies, mapping out the full scope of risks and benefits.
We work closely with communities of faith to review the Vitality Plan and identify the options that best meet the congregation’s needs and potential.
With expertise in property management, community building, financial and legal matters, environmental sustainability and technology, the UPRC team works with communities of faith on every stage of the journey to implement the Vitality Plan.
